OBJECTIVE: Fancy dress is one of the most exciting things for young ones. They love to dress apart and resemble their favorite animal, fruit or any cartoon character. All schools host fancy dress competitions once in a while to amuse these little wonders. Participating in fancy dress competitions helps children develop confidence as they must come on stage and face the audience. … The purpose of conducting the competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the little ones by giving them an opportunity to perform on the stage .
Fancy dress play also encourages children to express their point of view of the world around them. It helps build both large and fine motor skills, decision making skills, encourages empathy and assists in the overall emotional development of children”
